I agree.....use my Ax more now that typing is, well, typing!

I also like that it doesn't need a battery and you can charge while it is attached

It doesnt need a bettery! Really, hows it get juice.

I have an ir keyboard from think outside. I can use it while charging, but must be on a desk. I want a kb that can be portable but still put out many words per minute.

How fast is typing on this kb?

I didn't know Dell Canada sold it. I ordered it online. It is good. The only problem I find is that I have take off my case to put the keyboard on.

I love my Belkins thumb keyboard.
As far as where it get it power to operate it. It gets it from the Axim battery while it plug in to the bottom of the PDA. I had never notice any big power drain on the Axim by using it.

Now as far as typing speed it is a lot faster then using the onscreen keyboard, but not as fast as your thinkoutside Ir. keyboard,

Consider being able to type an email while laying in bed, or even on a bumpy bus ride. Anyplace where normally it would be impossible to type with your other keyboard.

Just note that the only place you can get the Belkins thumb keyboard is at Dell website for the Axim.

Thanks for the reply. IR keyboards use little juice. My next kb will be a belkin thumb, or i may trade my other in...

Does anyone know where to get this if you live outside the US/Canada? It's not on Ebay or anything.

That's the US dell site, customers outside of the US can't order from it (at least online). And you linked to the X30 one by the way :P

I can't seem to find the product listed on the Dell.ca site. Can you post the link to where you bought it from? I have a Bluetooth keyboard now. I haven't used it a lot but plan on using it on my upcoming trip

quick question i was interested in purchasing this keyboard but someone said on this forum that it you have to take the case off in order for the keyboard to fit. i have the sena case which is has a pretty snug fit and allows access to the bottom of the axim. does the sena case fit with the snap n type keyboard or do you have to take that off too for it to work?

Dell Website is the only place.

The only place where I know that you can get this is off the Dell Web site.
Here is the link for the Axim X50 / x51 Belkin Keyboard
.

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=80371 093

Note: I had mine for more then 8 months now. When I first started checking into getting one. I went to Belkins website and saw some Snap on Keyboards but not for the Axim. I called Belkins Tech support and they had no idea that they even made one for the Dell Axim.

It's on Amazon.com too:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...919044?ie=UTF8

It's listed under a weird name "Snpntyp Charger for Dell Axim X50/X51 Mini Keyboard" but apparently it is the keyboard. Too bad Dell USA and Amazon.com won't let me order it to an address outside of the US.
