FYI: Rhinoskin Aluminum Case

I think this has been posted before, but I wanted to repost and warn you guys about the belt post on the Rhinoskin Aluminum case. When wearing the Axim in the case on your belt, the tiny screw in post has a tendency to unscrew. When this happens, the Axim drops like a rock to the ground. Fortunately, this is an easy fix, just use a squirt of super glue or a thread lock compound such as lock-tite.

In this same thread I also wanted to compliment Rhinoskin on their cases. My little belt post came unscrewed and caused the axim to hit the floor in my local supermarket. Luckily the case lived up to its name and absolutely no harm was done to the Axim! I realized this after my heart began beating again...Hopefully this post will save you guys the heartache.

Too bad I didn't see this post a couple of months ago. I had exactly the same problem. The screw looks like it is tight, but it is not. Mine came undone while I was walking across a brick patio. Like you, Rhinoskin case protected everything from damage. I have not used the belt clip since. :)

Good tip, even if it was a little too late for me. :)

Alot of Rhinoskin owners use small camera pouches that have velcro belt loops. The metal cases fit snugly and it's no big deal sliding themout. I even have two spare batteries and my BT gps in mine.
Do a search of my posts - I've got the make and model of my pouch here somewhere....

Well, after I shot the post with super glue, it is solid as a rock which is nice because now I don't worry about it. I also like the case because it matches the cell phone that is normally also on my belt.

Good idea, jsparks. I never though of using superglue. The other problem I had, though, was that the screw did not sit snugly in the clip (I think I got a defective clip) so it would fall out of the clip unexpectedly as well.
