I just bought this keyboard, and I was just wondering if there is a way to fix the response time of pressing a key while playing a game. For example, I will play Doom, and I'll press the up arrow. A second later, it actually moves. Same applies with any other game. Is it possible to correct this? I have a Dell Axim x51v A06 ROM.

and where to download it?

Do you like it because it is cheaper than competing products such as Sierra B/Tooth? The B/T products seem much better at overcoming the negatives mentioned but at a higher cost.

I bought this keyboard from Amazon.co.uk and it arrived today however one of the keys stays down (the 2nd half of the spacebar - Today/New for those who have the keyboard). I wanted it to take away with me on holiday on Monday so phoned Amazon.co.uk to say I wanted to return it but was concerned that my new item would not be here in time! No problem! They placed an order and it will most likely arrive on Saturday apart from that the keyboard it great!

I have noticed this and have no fix, I guess IR just is not as fast as other stuff.

The negatives are not as nearly limiting as one might think. I have never been in a situation that the IR keybaord limited me.

I just found one of these IR keyboard's in a clearance bin @ Staples. For the price, ($40 USD) I thought I'd give it a try.

Wow! I never thought it would be that easy to get it running. I downloaded the driver in w3iner's review, installed it, then spent about a minute getting the mirror aligned. Then I just started typing away.

Great review w3iner!

Does the driver from the Dell support site work?
Got my keyboard (F8U1500) for $40 from Staples & will retry installing, didn't work first time. Very good review!

Two questions for the OP:
1) What software creates the "mouse"?
2) I've heard that IR keyboards have an "arm" that they use to connect to the PDA. Does this keyboard have this arm, or is it a different model?

And one for creative people:
What does the Aximsite community think about using some fiberoptic cable to connect the keyboard to the Ax? IR travels in fiber optic, and it would eliminate the need for keeping them lined up.
