I have a axim x51 and am trying to register a program named VITO Navigator II. I am supposed to send in the pda's 'User ID' and receive an activation code. Problem is I am not sure which is the 'User ID'.

Is this the same as the UUID? If so, which one should I use. On my x51 there are two UUID's (found under 'Settings', each being 16 digits/letters). On other programs I have registered the 'register' screen gives a 'User ID' which usually is an 8 digit number/letter combination. In Navigator II there is no 'User ID' generated on the 'register' screen.

If I try Start > Settings > System tab > About > Device ID tab, the 'Device name' can be anything I enter. But there is no ID number.

Can anyone help me? I know if I try to register other programs I'll run into the same problem. My user manual does not cover this, and yes I am new to the x51. I have tried searches on this site and google but have had no luck. Is there somewhere else to look for this information on the x51?

Most of the programs that I have that require a "User ID" are looking for the Owner's Name (Start - Settings - Owner Information) They will then take that name, run it through a has and send you a unique code that will work on your device. It makes it easy to transfer to a new device because the software isn't locked to a hardware ID, only to your name.
