Long time no post.

I picked up a GPS for my x50v earlier this year and am LOVING IT!

Next problem - dashboard mounting. I want to upgrade my aluminium case to something more conservative too.

Requirements:
- NO VENT MOUNTS!!! I hate them. They break vents.

- Nice leather case, that offers good protection (my accident protection expires in 2 months!)

Basically that's it, so I'm think the Piel Frama case with dashboard mount (link) may be the best option, but I'd like some input first. Also, its very expensive!

I'd prefer a magnetic closure case for faster access, but I don't like the unprotected corners on the Sena. Also, it limits the dashboard mount options to either a generic holder or a do-it-yourself.

Does anyone have this setup?

Any other options spring to mind?


Also, where's the best place to buy?

They have both dash and console mounts as well for most makes and ,odel cars love mine.

Yes, I saw those. Thankyou.
It's still a do-it-yourself solution because you'd have to stick the belt clip to the mount, or use the 'generic' type holder (apparently their iPod holder fits most Axim cases).
Not a bad option, but the Piel Frama still looks better.
