Sync and Charge Cable for X51V
I bought the Belkin car charger cable (which says it's compatible with both
the X50 and X50v and X51)

and it never quite worked right with my X51V. It would cause the screen
to flash, or ActiveSync wouldn't recognize it.

The folks at Dell Tech Support said that model is not compatible with
an X51v [and want to send me a standard usb sync cable with a
dual head, to plug in the power supply].

Does anyone have any experience with a sync and charge cable for
an X51 v?

The power draw on the X50/X51 is higher than what USB ports can output, so you often see the problems of screen flickering, etc. Take a look at this thread for more details:

Try charging before your battery gets too low, or with your device powered off. Boxwave has a USB sync charger that seems to work better than the other, but again, the USB warning still applies.
