Can it be done? connect x50 to tv/vcr or projector
Is there some way to connect my X50 to a projector or tv/vcr with an adapter or whatever so that I can show my word/excel files in a demonstration? What components do I need to get? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

it can be done with the x51v because your can use a VGA out cable. I don't know of a way to go directly to a tv or projector with a non VGA device.

You can go to a computer using remote software such as Soti Pocket Controller.

there are things like presenter to go from margi... but they aren't cheap. may be more cost effective to sell the 50 and buy a 50/51 V and vga out cable

Go to the HOT DEALS hardware forum and search for the "X10 video" . There is a VGA to TV device that X10 sells.

Microsoft has a PowerToy that can do remote viewing of your PDA on a laptop (which is easier to connect to display). If you want the free solution, that is your best bet. You can do the VGA hack to make the remote display work in VGA mode, and that is what I do.

For a solution that costs some money you can buy a VGA cable for the Axim. I've seen them plentiful on e-bay for $10 with $10 shipping. You can buy them other places but for more money.

Oh he has x50 but not the "v" version? Man I've been bad with posts lately making a lot of assumptions.

But the v denotes the built-in display resolution. Do the x50/x51 non-v versions have the VGA output? I thought they were both based on the 2700G chip, which has dual outputs, with both outputs being able to drive displays up to 1024x768?
