I'm looking for a car charger for my x51v. It doesn't need to do anything else--just charge from my lighter outlet in my car. I was reading the sticky'd thread and it implies that some chargers (those that have a USB interface to the lighter plug) may not allow me to charge and use it at the same time. I do need to use it and charge it simultaneously in my car.

In light of what I read in the sticky'd thread, I was looking at the Dell website and the Belkin website for a charger that would meet my needs. For the PDA car chargers on both sites, the compatability list included the x50, the x50v, and the x51. There is no mention of the x51v.

Can anybody out there recommend a charger that will allow me to charge my x51v in my car and use it at the same time?

i bought that for my x51v and works just fine for using gps and charging at the same time.

since this is direct connection and not USB i dont think you would have any problems with charging and using ur ax at the same time.

My x51v came with the Belkin usb interface car charger and travel charger. The car charger charges while the Axim is in use.

Buy a PSP charger, I bought a charger form dell and it is the exact same as PSP chargers, even down to the AMPs and Volts. Save money and pick up a psp one.

2000mA sounds high, are you sure about that?

Yep, I bought an $8.00 PSP charger at Radio Shack...works great for my x51v!
