Innopocket Magnesium case problems
Hi everybody,

I hope this is in the right forum.

I picked up the Innopocket magnesium case and a screen protector and I've observed a problem.

When I have an SD card in the slot in the inside of the cover, and it remains closed, it seems that it is touching the screen. The pressure is causing a rectangular area to be pressed against the screen. At first I thought this caused permanent damage in the form of a bunch of rainbow squiggles, but it seemed to go away after a day or so with no pressure.

Anyone else experience something like this? My solution is to take off the screen protector. It's hard for me to believe that the case doesn't allow enough clearance for a screen protector!!

I've had the same thing happen to me. So I don't use it.

Out of curiosity, when you say you don't use it, do you mean the screen protector, the sd card holder, or the innopocket case?

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed after what I paid for the case!

I never had an extra sd card to put there so I haven't tried it. My thoughts are that anything that is physically touching the screen would directly transfer any shock when it hits the floor to the screen. I wouldn't think that would be too good and wouldn't use the holder but the case is excellent protection other than that.

I had read very positive things about this case, and in fact just ordered one yesterday. I am with bigdave - leave the SD holder empty.

I bought the magnesium case about 10 months ago, and noticed the same issue. I just didn't keep an SD card in the cover. About a month ago, the plastic t-shaped hinge broke, which really disappointed me; no replacement hing is available. I switched to a leather case.

I meant the SD card holder. The case is, IMHO the best there is.

Dude, now that you mention it, YES it does hit the Axim X50v's screen.

There's a big square "indentation" on my Brando screen protector. I've always wondered why this happened. Wow, crazy

I've never put a SD card in to the case but I must agree with everyone else that this is a solid case. Maybe they just need to tweak it slightly. Email them and see what they say.

non issue for me. I've use the SD card holder for storage from day 1 over a year ago.

my issue is that part of the hinge has broke (still works) and one of the clips on the bottom, where the door latches onto, has broke off.
