I'm using 4Gb Transcend 150x SD card and everything works fine.

But be sure NOT TO BUY SDHC cards. This is a new standard - SD High Capacity cards. Axim doesn't support it.

If you need lots of storage space, take a look at CompactFlash Microdrives. I'm a happy owner of 8GB Seagate microdrive ... It rocks!!!

I concur with SerjeL on the Transcend 4 GB 150x SD card. It works great but filling up too fast

Now would anyone recommend the Transcend 4 GB or 8 GB CF (type II) 120x card from first hand experience? I'm still a little leary about hard drive crashing and extra power consumption.

Put me on the 'me too' list.
Transcend 4G 150x SD.
Using mine as a read-only mp3 library.

Note: mine is in an X50V WM2003 A05.

The standard 4GB SD works fine in my Axim 51v, but I'm not so sure about the new SDHC (high capacity) format. I know the SDHC is currently availble in 4 and 8 GB sizes; just don't know if they're compatible with the 51v. I was actually checking the forum to see if anyone can answer for sure.

As others have said in the Storage Card forum... no, they don't. Someone's confirmed this with a 4GB SDHC card. There appear to be hardware differences with them on top of file system changes... which means they're not SD 1.1 compatible.

I have both the transcend 4GB SD and the 8GB CF. Both work perfectly.

Same here, I use them both and they are proving very reliable.
