I still waiting for my Axim x51v to arrive. I wanna know details above USB Synch Cable from Dell coz I order the cable together.

I plan to use the cable with Cigar USB power adapter. I plug in the usb synch cable to adapter to provide power for my x51v.

I read that normal USB (500ma) will not charge the x51v unless screen off. BUT I wanna know whether it USE (not charge) the power from USB if screen on? meaning the battery will not drain.

Another question, If I off screen do bluetooth connection to bt gps can be on? Que will still got location update?

I doubt so... I am using the sync cable now... and while I am using the unit, I can see my batter power being used at the same time...

ok thanks for the info.. Anybody got any idea? I hope I able to use dell synch cable using cigar - usb adapter to provide enough power so my battery will not be use. So when I use for gps navigation I can plug it to the car without using any battery.

I have to agree. I actually brought the 3-in-1 Travel Kit with me on my holiday to NZ. I also use the converter do I don't have to lug the cradle with me to work every day.

The travel kit I listed above does in fact charge the battery while in use in all modes such as the cig lighter adapter and with the USB cord so there is no battery draw while operating, just charging. You can as stated sync with the cable also eliminating the cumbersome cradler. It works fine. Incidentally it's made by Belkin and can get it at the link I supplied above. Hope this helps.....
