A case for the 2200mah extended battery
Well I chopped the top on my first case as a test and all looks good. It still feels sturdy. I don't feel as though I have to me gentle with it at all. Realistically the case may not survive as many drops as it might have if not messed with but I wanted a low profile extended battery accomodating case more than I care about it's total drop survival rate.

Anyways for all those inclined and able I used a dremel to rough cut the hole and then I used a file to clean it all up and expand the hole to easily fit the battery cover on and off while in the case, it took about an hour and I am very happy with the results.

Just did my no name brand aluminum case. Turned out almost as good. There are a few spots where my dremel chuck hit the case and scuffed it and the hole ended up being a little too big as the alum case sits out a few mm from the surface of the axim. It was also alot more difficult as the dremel got caugt up on several occassions. I am going to go alot slower on the innopocket mag case when I do that one but I am very happy with both test cuts.

Here are some pics of the modded aluminum case.

One thing to note on this one is that the clip on part was a nut sandwhiched between the case and a thin metal plate which all came out when I chopped the back so the clip no longer works. If I actually cared about the clip I would simply use some epoxy resin and a small piece of the original metal piece and recreate the sandwhich. I don't use the clip though so I did not.
