I'm wanting to have active synch at home and at work for my x51v. I havethe docking station and charge that came with my x51v but want to replicate this set up at work (both charge and synch).

I can buy the docking station from Dell UK but they don't sell the charger.

Where can I buy a charger from?

Am I thinking along the right lines - or should I be considering another supplier?

Same situation for me...

I got a cable that has the Axim hook up and USB on the other end. Then I've got a car charger with USB and then a wall charger with USB. All work great so you can plug it into the wall, car or computer. Yes that's right it'll ever charge and sync when you plug it into your computer.

Search for axim charger sync x51 car (or whatever model you have)

I think I paid like $12 total with shipping.

I've had no issues.

I have bought a usb sync cable along with a usb car charger adaptor at 1000 mah. However, I cannot charge the PDA while it's turned on which renders it unusable. Do you know of any solution that can charge while the PDA is turned on?

If I had the answer to that I might not still be plaquing this site with questions and my answers.
But you can sync it then turn it off and charge it. But it is almost impossible to charge and sync at the same time because a USB port cannot put off enough power to power the device while it is running, only 500mah max and the device needs soemthing around 1A

give DELL a call, they may not have it put on the web under the accessories section but they might have stock.

I got a good deal from an Ebay supplier; they were selling surplus stock and I got a cradle and charger for about £5.00 + P&P

All the Axim power cubes are the same (5.4V; 2410mA) so if you find one for any Axim, it will work with the X51v. Also, the only difference between the US and European power adapters are the cord from the wall outlet to the cube (they work with 120 to 240 V input).

I have a kit that has a synch/charge usb cable and adapters for AC and DC (car). It charges while my PDA is turned on. I'll have to find the invoice, though - I can't remember where I got it.

Just a note for anyone looking for a charger. Any 5 volt charger that will fit in the plug in your dock will work. I'm using one now with my x51v. Been doing it for about a month with no problems.

Try Boxwave, or Semson.

The Semson unit is rather inexpensive, and I think Aximsite members get a discount.

You might try a charger for the sony PSP. It has worked for a couple of my needs.
