Screen Protectors!
What would you reccomend as the best screen protector for my x51v? I want to protect that beautiful screen, i've had it for a while now, few scratches, but I want to be safe

Invisibleshield is the best from shieldzone.com they have a lifetime warranty (which you dont really need b/c they never scratch) and are only like $11.
I love it.

I also have bee throughly satisfied wtih my shieldzone protector on x51v. I carry my x51v in my front pants pocket (I wear "painter" style pants) - which is a very harsh environment. My the screen on my cell phone (in the other front pocket) has been beat to snot and is so scratched it is almost unreadable. The screen on my x51v has ZERO scratches - and I mean ZERO. I drop my keys in my pocket - coins - etc. - and the screen my x51v is in pristine condition.

cheers

Protect that screen!
In my opinion these are great screen protectors - been using for quite a while.

These are all good choices. I plan on trying some of these the next time I need screen protecters. I am still using the ones I bought from screengardz http://www.screenguardz.com/

Its been almost 2 years of heavy use and still on my first pact. I have been happy with screengaurz, but these other types are also good choices.

Lots of personal preferences on this subject. Do a search of this site and you will find all types of information on screen protection and non protection. Personally I do have a screen protector on every PDA that I have ever had going back to my original Palm almost 6 years ago. I make my own from material I have gotten at a fabric store (.8mm clear table cloth covering material).

The Boxwaves are a joy to write on, but your mileage may vary - mine scratched up for some reason, with the normal stlylus, and no sand was in the gears either from what I could tell. And yes, I did get rid of the other protective plastic bit on the front. Personally, if it wasn't for that 'easily scratched up' issue I had with my particular Crystal, I'd probably still be using them.

Currently I'm on the InvisibleShield, and have had no problems with clarity... plus it's sorta anti-glare, given the way the texture of the sheet is anything but 'smooth'... but that causes me some issues with the stylus 'sticking', in a way that somehow doesn't show up on my Nintendo DS lite with a similar InvisibleShield on the bottom screen. Still pretty dang sticky though - I've had to abandon Calligrapher as an input method as a result of this. Otherwise, no complaints outside of the stickiness of the screen (which means I've had a few things like bits of lint stick as well, which are a bit of a pain to wipe off).
