I've got my new Axim x51v back in September. Have read in forum that screen protector is definitely should be used to protect screen. I was using my iPAQ 4150 without any screen protector for 3 years and I can see quit a few scratches. I didn’t want this happens to Ax. So I’ve bought BoxWare screen protector from cases.com and tried to install it. Never had any success – dust, bubbles, etc. Was looking horrible, and touch screen was not as responsive as without protector. I was trying about 5 times, but finally I just remove it and was using Ax unprotected.
Nothing happens with screen so far, no scratches yet, but I am worrying. Decided to try another screen protector – ScreenGuardz Ultra-Slim. Just got it yesterday from cases.com. The good thing is there are 15 in the pack, so I can try to install many times.
I gave it a first try last night. Not bad, less bubbles and dust, but the screen is now feels a bit sticky. There wasn’t any instruction how to install it in the box. I am not sure if I did it right.

If you will do a search in this site you will find many discussions on installing screen protectors.Good luck and have patience.

Make sure the screen is spotless to start. I peel the top back first, about an inch, place the top edge at the top of the screen (make sure you are square to the screen). I get the top edge start and use a credit card to slowly work my way down, peeling it back as I go.

Grude explanation, but I hope you get the idea.

Some also say to install the screen protector in a steamy bathroom to eliminate the dust problem.
