As long as it doesn't say SDHC in any of the specifications it should work. I have a generic 4GB SD card and it works in my X51v.
SDHC cards will not work.

Ah, Gigi beat me to it. Gigis thread is incredibly useful for brand name cards and mostly applies to unbranded cards too, just beware.
