Axim X50 Car Holder

I'm looking for a decent car holder for my Axim X50. I saw http://www.buygpsnow.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=720 which sounds pretty good. Does anyone have any recommendations?

That's a good one. :approve: I have the same PDA as you and use the universal mount for my GPS. I am thinking about buying that one so I don't have to keep my power cable in the car.

The only problem is that I have the Holux GPSlim 236 that doesn't work with this mount or atleast that's what the website says.

I was a little lost at first, but I see the problem now. It's the charging cable compatibility with the GPSlim 236. The PDA will still fit. You'd just have to have two charging cables. Which, might be a pain. Depends on your needs. I have the Holux GR271.

The only plus I see is a mounting system designed for specific cars. But, I have two different cars. That would mean another $30. Then, if I'm travelling with someone else, I don't have a mount for the cradle.

I'm not impressed.

Well if you saw how well they attach to your car and how well they hold your device you might think differently. Go ahead and buy a suction cup mount and when your expensive PDA drops to the car floor ......

My radar detector uses suction cups and hasn't dropped off. And, I put the wrist strap in my PDA and loop it to the vent for extra security.

I'm not saying ProClips aren't worth the money. A Mercedes is worth the money. I'm just not going to buy one.

IF I were using my PDA in the car all the time, I'd probably buy a ProClip system. But, I only use it occasionally on a trip.
