upgrade here to AO12, it should be possible as far as I know. Runs fom PC

i download this then i have to reinstall notem?
this download will give me all the extended recording capabilities(2hrs) as notem?

Be aware that installing A12 will update your axim but will also wipe all data and programs you have installed.

notem? do you mean notes or is notem a third arty app? x51 is compatatible with latest rom version for ax, a12 it is the english version and ther is no multi language support for this version as yet. I not know where you are and whatsupport you have.

edit:AO12 will update you to WM5, notes in WM5 easily records everything you want to record, without anything else

plus i got an error message that said, "the update does not support this language version" i bought my axim in america.

Did you unzip the file you downloadedt? It's in ZIP format and should be unzipped before you are able to extract the CAB file. Once you have the CAB file, you can execute it directly from your Axim.

According to the WM5 software compatibility list, NoteM should work with WM5:

I have notem 1.21 on my x51v (rom A06). Works fine.

Notem works for me on my x51v. It occasionally locks up when I hit the record button by mistake and the device has been in suspend. Usually, just stopping the recording, restarting and stopping clears everything up. I then erase the bad recording.

I sometimes get a message that a file can't be found, but when I start it again, all is well.

No problem has caused me to really have to soft reset.

sorry i don't understand. do you mean put all of the contents in a separate folder and put that folder in my axim? there are to cab files in the zip. which one do i use?

When you unzip the download, you will see two .CAB files, the file you want is
notem 2003. copy this to ax and then install there. ?I still don't know what platform you are trying to install to, Idon't think I've seen your OS listed here? the other .CAB is for 2002? Compatability rating for 2003 .CAB says WM5. Only put the file that is compatabile with your OS an ax

Well, since the OP posted in the X50/X51 thread, chances are he/she should be using the 2003 cab (for both WM2003SE or WM5). Just copy this over to your device and execute it from there. From all reports here, it should work. If not, try a soft reset and try again.

my os is wm5.0 os5.1.195(build 14957.2.3.1) no i don't know what it all means sorry.

still locks the ax up, i have to reset several times. could it be a problem with it trying to save the recording?

i downloaded from here. installed on my laptop and synced

You downloaded a version with an MSI package and it is already installed on your PPC and it hangs the ax when you use it. Try setting processor speed to maximum and see if it freezes then.
