I bought a car charger from thepocketsolutions.com. It doesn't charge the pda and the screeh brightness changes. I thought it might be a dud so they sent me another one. Same thing. The box says you can charge it and use it at the same time. Also has current limit with reverse cirtuit protection. I have an Axim X51V. I use the home charger and the craddle all the time without problems. The battery is a original Dell that came with the PDA. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a cheesy charger?

If you do a search on this issue you will see that there are several posts dealing with this complaint. Some car chargers are recommended more than others. I believe there is a Belkin dual charger that is supposed to work well. That seems to be the most populare choice. I use iGo and that works very well (expensive but a great charging system for lap top, pda, cell phone, etc). I also use a cigarette jack splitter that I got at an auto parts store so that I can run two chargers at once to run the GPS and the PDA.

Yeah. I saw them after I posted. Should have looked first. I think I will just grab a Dell car charger off their website.
