Is there an Axim charge without the Cradle?
I would like to find an Axim charger for my Axim X50 that is a simple power adapter that plugs directly into the Axim without relying on the cradle.

You see... Recharging via cradle takes up a lot of space and forces the Axim to be stationary on the cradle. I'd like to find some kind of a charger that would let me hold the Axim in my hand while it's charging. Is such a thing available and where could I buy it?

Hi Seby, welcome to Aximsite

There are a number of products on the market that do what you require: here in the UK, Expansys and Amazon are both well known retailers that have the products you want. There are many more - a quick Google should deliver the results you need.

I bought the 3-in-1 kit direct from Belkin. It works great. You should be able to use the coupon code '12345' to get 40% off.

You posted in the X5 forum. If that means you have an X5, then you can plug the power adapter you received with the Axim directly into the port on the bottom of the PPC.

(If posting in the X5 forum was a mistake, you can also do this with all the other models but you'll need to use the little adapter plug to connect to the bottom Axim port.)

I am sorry, I actually have the X50.. Please tell me where to find this adapter. I'd love to get a hold one but it didn't come with my Axim. It's so annoying to have drag my cradle around with me to charge my Axim when I am at the library or at a hotspot in a café

Try ebay; some sellers ship internationally. The item is called either travel charger or wall charger for Dell Axim x50. Hope this helps!

No, that's not what I was talking about. I was referring to the 'Charger Adapter.'

seby1689, did you buy your Axim used? Otherwise, it should have had the adapter but you can get them from Semsons.

I'll move this to the X50 forums.

Yes, I did buy my Axim used and I feel really disappointed about the hassle I will have to go through to get this adapter. This thing costs 5 dollars, but the shipping costs more than the product itself...

I only use the cradle for syncing, never charging.

seby, I have the X50. I agree that the cradle is a bit awkward, especially for trips. So, I got the Belkin 3-way travel charger, like a few other people here. Works great for my trips, especially in the airports (or some airplanes these days), if you can find a plug.

can anyone tell me how long that cord is on this Belkin Travel kit? I emailed customer service on their site but got no repsonse; it looks really short in the photo and I want enough length to be able to sit in our van and have it plugged into the dash accessory plug and reach me in the passenger seat, or plugged into the wall next to my easy chair
