Anyone have this BT keyboard?
I'm maybe looking into replacing my ThinkOutside BT keyboard, cause of unresponsive keys and general glitchiness after almost exactly 1 year warranty has ended. And now someone at work who's only had their Stowaway kb for three months is already having problems, also with keys not responding. He's got an iPAQ, I got an axim x51v.
Maybe since ThinkOutside became iGO, their quality control has sufferred, who knows?

As for my problem, uninstalling the ThinkOutside drivers completely and pairing my kb with the axim HID built-in drivers seems to have fixed things for now...but in case, in a few days, things start to go awry again, I'm just going to be looking into a new kb. But I don't trust ThinkOutside - or iGO - so much anymore, but it seems there aren't many Bluetooth foldable keyboard choices at all for the axim. I went on ebay and found a bunch of these:

Was wondering has anyone used a no-name bt keyboard like this? If so, is it any good? Or maybe there's another name-brand option out there I don't know about?
Thanks in advance for any info

Freedom Keyboard
Yes, I have this keyboard.

It's the Freedom Keyboard. Also the Smart Keyboard.

I use this with both my x51v and my blackberry.
It's great with the blackberry!

The driver to get it to work with the blackberry cost me $29.

I have to ditto Wylo Shocker on this one. Zero problems with with the thinkoutside kb and I also have the mouse. If you use the built in HID you lose the special functions. Maybe a combo of bt stack and driver version?

You lose a few of the special functions, but not nearly all...in any case, using the HID fixed the unresponsiveness of certain keys, so I'll stick with it for now...

I think that keyboard is the original Freedom keyboard. They've released a new one, their Universal, which I was trying to find out about in this thread:
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=149909

My Stowaway died (several keys stopped working) which seems to be a hardware problem that others have encountered:
http://www.thinkoutside.com/forums/t...fid=5&tid=2394

So, today I've ordered myself a Freedom Universal Keyboard. I think I prefer the physical design, and with the less elaborate folding mechanism I think it will be less vulnerable to the cable flexing and breaking problem reported in the above thread.

I'll report back on what I find.

I have the freedom keyboard, and it is great..Only issue was installing drivers.. Had to tell it to install the x50 drivers to get it to work with the x51.. something in their install program I think.

I have had the think outside bt keyboard for about 2 years and it has worked great for me too. Sorry for the troubles some of you are experiencing.
