So my new keyboard came today and I just love it. I downloaded the correct
.cab file for my x51v from this forum days ago and it installed with no trouble, so today all I had to do was slide it onto my Ax, and well here I am typing this to you. I really like the buttons on the bottom for calendar, contacts, email and the Today screen. This is very cool and there is a jack on the bottom for the Axim AC charger to plug in. Got this baby on ebay for $19!

Love my belkin snapntype also. It's quite useful with lengthier emails, word, excel, etc. It's also handy for playing games. Cost me about $20 also -- money well spent.

and yes, it does cover the 4 hard buttons on the Axim, but it gives you them as buttons on the bottom row of the keyboard - in the photo they are right above the name Belkin, to the right and left and in the same position as the hard buttons on the Ax, so you have l-r Calendar, Contacts, Email and Home; and the best part is that they work. There is a button that opens the Today start page and you can scroll down the start page with an arrow button and then choose a program shortcut and it takes you to that program.

A very cool device.! and like I said you can plug your AC charger cord into the bottom edge of it so the Axim charges while you type.

Just placed my order from Amazon...I've been hearing mixed reviews about these thumb boards but I think that it would really do the trick for emails and AIM. Anxiously waiting arrival now.

I just had a thought...I using Mugen's 1800mAh extended battery which adds very little thikness to the device but it does add some. I never even notice it which is why I didn't think about it. Do you guys think this extended battery will be compatible with the belking keyboard in terms of fit? Thanks for the info...

I have the Mugen 1800mAh battery also. The SnapNType snaps in below the battery line, so the extended battery will not be a problem with the thumb-board.

Right, if you can imagine - the back of the unit is cut way low from the front, as lorrborr said it comes just to the bottom of the battery door. I have been using this all weekend now and I love it even more. I am getting the hang of where everything is and they have this soft button, the Face Plate, that brings up a whole other keyboard loaded with additional symbols and even smilies that you can use by pressing any of the assigned letter hard buttons. You can even re-assign any other the symbols on the Face Plate screen with your own symbols. I just bought an AC power plug from Semson's that has the standard power adapter end that will fit right into the bottom of this keyboard, as my plans now are to pop this thing on the minute I get home. I have really been giving my laptop at home a rest.

I found that the page up and page down buttons on the keyboard scroll the screen page up and down on Opera really nice, making it so easy to read the newspaper, forums, etc. instead of trying to manipulate that little right scroll bar on the browser with a stylus. Glad you got one!
