So i was looking for a backup battery, and since i heard about batteries melting devices, I decided I'll stick with the OEM products. But I'm a little confused....

Above link is to the Dell site, detailing an 1100 MAH battery for the low low price of $49.99

Above link is to the Dell site, detailing another 1100 MAH battery for 1/2 the original price, so $26.45.




There does seem to be some slight discrepencies between pages. The $49.00 one has exact HxWxD, and the second one seems to be rounded off slightly.....

Another thing, is the second one is called "B-8664" and when i googled for it, there were lots of sites promissing to find the lowest price for me, and one site that said it was an x30 battery??

But on the product page, it says x50/51 series?

Obviously i'll buy it if its the same thing for cheaper, but something tells me there is something fishy here?

I guess i'm just your grade A moron.......i thought the MAH was the total capacity, but i guess not.......the former is the extended battery, the later is the original battery

You are not alone, they are both 1100s, but the picture is misleading. I am guessing the third-party battery is cheaper?

The expensive one is an OEM battery. The $26 on is not OEM... according to the picture (no dell logo)

Have you been to Suntekstore.com? They have good prices. Has anyone tried buying stuff from there?
