Extended batttery case?
Whats a good case for the axim's 2200 extended battery? I love the battery but I don't trust myself enough to carry it around unprotected.

Sena is nice I have one but I prefer the Piel Frama or Rhinoskin cases - all good just a matter of personal choice.

I use the Rhinoskin aluminum case. I drop my ax on a regular basis and it has proved invaluable.

I have the black aluminum PDAir case, and am quite happy with how it looks and works. I got it from aximcases.com.

If you prefer a belt case that the Axim slips into check out Nutshell. For a flip case I like Fortte because it will fit either the standard or extended batteries, plus it is a high quality case. You also can't go wrong with Piel I got one for my wife but she only uses the standard battery.

Do you mean a case for just the battery?

I have used the red cloth bag that my sena case came in to carry around my extra battery. I just bought a new digital camera that came with a plastic pouch for it's battery, but since I don't have an extra camera battery, I'm using that case for my extra ax battery.

Does a metal case add a lot of bulk? How about a leather one?

Hi again,

The only metal case I ever had was a RhinoSkin for an Axim X5. I felt very uncomfortable carry it because it seemed slippery to me, but I am sure they have changed now.

However, as I said before, I love my Sena case.

I just got a PDair aluminum case for my X30 (pretty sure they make them for the X50/51 too). I don't find it slippery and it doesn't add much bulk.

And if you meant a means of carrying just the battery and not the axim, I keep my extra battery in an old wallet.

I just got the Sena extended and a Mugen 2800 battery and I'm really pleased with both.
