:approve: I have 56 days left on my CC warranty with advance exchange and they want $139 to renew it for two years. Pricey, but at the price X51V's are going for on ebay, and not knowing what you might be getting thats not a bad deal. $70 a year and I get one next day no questions asked as long as i did not physically break it.

I have 30 days to think it over... I'll bet they won't be doing this much longer.

so glad that i got full 3 year accidental+warranty coverage for my x51v when i bought it april 2006, but it was like an extra $160 i think... let me check

Surprise...I got a quote also. $148 for a total of 3 years complete care. The problem is that 10 days ago when I could get to the website listing options, it was approximately $49 for the same thing. I thought that was pretty cheap and should have bought it then. I bought the 2nd x51v as a backup for my 1st one. The extended warranty was a great deal at $49 but a rip-off (my opinion) at $148. Buying from Dell is like buying a new car. Nobody pays the same price for the same thing.

Thanks for checking that out, I guess it was an error but they did send me a conformation stating my plan was good till 12-2008. I guess I got lucky.

I have an Axim 51V that Dell sent me back when they were exchanging the 50V because of the Wm5 issue. On June 1st I was able to purchase further complete care that would expire on 2/1/08 till 8/15/08 which is the aniversary of them sending me the 51v. I tried to purchase additional coverage beyond that date and was unable to get the web page to accept the attempt. I got a popup message that said the dates had to agree. I called CS and was told that I could only have a total of 4 yrs coverage (for the 50v & the 51V) and so I wouldn't be able to purchase any coverage beyond 8/15/08 because that would be the end of my 4 yrs. I was charged $15.57 for the additional 6 months of complete care coverage. On a prior conversation with a Dell CS rep I was told that the coverage cost changed based on the age of the axim, so the longer I would wait to buy additional coverage the more expensive it would be. At that time I was able to buy one more year that extended the date to 2/1/08. So based on what I was told if you have less than 4 yrs of complete care coverage you should check and see what price Dell would charge you for the additional coverage. I am in the US so as mentioned in some of the above posts Dell may have a different policy for those located outside of the US.
