Accidental Damage Protection Extension - $3.01?

For those of you who have Complete Care on there Axim, try this and tell me what happens.

I went to dell.com to see how much time was left on my Complete Care and out of curiosity I checked how much it would cost to extend it. The list looked something like this:

1 year - $3.00
2 years - $29.00
3 years - $59.00

Is it just me or is there a big price gap here. Sure enough I went to checkout and it was $3.01 with tax. What a great deal for one more year of protection.

here's the link: http://support.dell.com/support/topi...n&s=dhs&~ck=mn

That must be an error. The more years you buy it, the cheaper it should cost per year.

The more years you buy the bigger the risk to Dell... so surely it should be more expensive per year

I couldn't get there with that link but i did check out for my x51v and it would only let me add 1 year to it. $19. I am thinking about it but can wait for a bit as my present warranty is good until Nov.

Hope you're not holding your breath. I tried that 6 months ago when I bought my first x51v. I'm still waiting for a response. I bought a 2nd x51v from a fellow Aximsite member about a month ago. When I transferred the registration to myself, I was able to get to a page that showed warranty extension prices. I can't get there anymore. All I get is the email quote page.

Last week I was able to get to a page for completely out of warranty X50V and they wanted $200. Now that option is not even there.. I'll keep emailing them until I get an answer one way or another.:rolling:

I just logged into my account and went to the support page. It had 4 choices but only allowed me to pick the one year option. the other options said that i couldn't because it extended my complete care longer than the regular warranty. Might just see if I can order the one year though. that's not a bad deal. I just don't know what would happen if I had to get a replacement and they didnt have any refurbs left. Money back? other pda? neither is a good deal but money back would be preferable over a lesser pda.
