My battery holds almost no charge on my x51v and I'm thinking of replacing it.

Looking on ebay there are loads of cheap ones, has anyone used a non genuine Dell battery and had any bad luck?

I dont want an extended one due to the size increase.

So basically it's do I buy a cheap copy or get a genuine Dell one.

I got one from amazon (that came with the cradle)...
it is not as good as the original battery that came with Dell.
You just never know. Esp from Ebay.
I would suggest a repliable vender. (NOT Dell, they charge too much).

It's a bit hit and miss on eBay really. Once upon a time when I bought a USB cradle for my Axim, it came with a 1100mAh battery which wouldnt charge when it arrived, so just binned it. However, I thought I'd give eBay another go, and bought 2 more batteries (of the same brand), but this time 2200mAh, and they work great. So good in fact, that I've retired my original battery.
