Bluetooth Adaptors and X51v
I have inherited a Microsoft Network Receiver v2.0 (usb bluetooth) that I would like to use to move certain files between laptop and X51v, thereby bypassing Active Sync. However, when I plug the adaptor into the laptop and turn on bluetooth on the X51v, nothing happens. The X51v searches but cannot find anything. The adaptor also lights up and blinks when plugged in.

Does anyone know if the MS device requires a driver on the laptop? I searched the MS website and they have no references to the device. If so, how about a download site for the driver?

Thanks!

There's a setting with the bluetooth adapter in Windows that you have to enable it to be discoverable.

Have you checked in the device manager under USB to see if the device is installed?

I think You need a driver for the USB dongle. Mine came with a CD with driver and service program.

Well, as it turns out, the "inherited" part is an RFI component for use with a wireless mouse!

Thanks for all who replied.
