Outback touring - phone choice with X51V?
I am looking to buy a decent mobile phone for use with the Axim in my forthcoming cycle ride around Australia. It seems to me that I should look for something with a long battery life, that's reasonably rugged, must have Bluetooth of course. I'm quite interested in the Nokia 6234 which is 3G compliant (OK, only useful in cities in Oz); has a micro SD slot etc.
My most important need is to be able to send and receive e-mails because I am writing a blog and posting via e-mail as I go along, typing into the Ax via Dell folding keyboard.
My main question is - can I send e-mail straight from the Ax via the BT phone connection or does the phone have to be e-mail compliant (i.e. almost a smartphone).
My second question is - whilst I know I can get a microSD to SD adaptor card, can I save my blog onto the microSD via the SD slot in the Ax, and then when I fit the microSD card into the phone, does the phone have to have Windows Mobile 5 OS like the Ax? Or can Symbian OS read the card OK? (It'll be in either Pocket Word or Textmaker).
There are lots more questions but that'll do fer noo!

Thinking about Pocketmail for blogging by e-mail as well as GPRS/3G
