UPGRADE X50v SD Card
I have an X50v, WM2003SE with a 512 Mb SD card (almost full), no CF card .

I just purchased a 2 Gb SD card and a 2 Gb CF card.

I would like to move all the data from my current 512 Mb SD card to my new 2 Gb
CF card and use the new 2 Gb Sd card for iGuidance v4.

What's the safest way to pull off this upgrade ?

the easiest way is to copy the small SD card, to the large SD card, and then use the CF card for your GPS app...

Do this on your PDA:
Put in your Old SD card, and your new CF card.
Open up File Explorer.
Go to your SD Card.
Open up the keyboard.
Press Ctrl A.
Press Ctrl C.
Your Files are copied.
Now go to your CF Card and do Ctrl V. Your files are on your CF card. I reccomend you create a folde on your CF Card, so you don't have to many file in the directory.
Put in your new SD card (for this you need to take out your old SD card .
Copy all of your files on your SD card again, this time on your CF card.
Paste them to your new SD card.
This may take a while depending on the spped of your card(s).

Hope this helps.

Using a card reader to move your data would be the easiest and quickest and would allow you to move your stuff to either your new SD or new CF card. (Moving to the SD card would require that you copy your 512MB contents to your PC first though.) If you don't have one, then you will have to move your SD stuff into the CF card via the Axim's File Explorer program (or 3rd party app).

Of course you may have problems running programs that were installed on sd- if you just copy them to cf.

If you have a USB card reader, create a subdirectory on your computer call SD card, then copy the entire contents of the SD card to that subdirectory. Then copy the entire contents of the SD card subdirectory to your new storage card. Insert new storage card into pocket pc.....you're done.

1, 2, 3.....that easy!
