InvisibleShield full body x51v fits x50v ..?
Hello,
I was shopping for a screen protector and found invisibleshield,
They have full body shield for x51v but not x50v though, when I told them they are same they told me they didnt have any x50v handy so they couldnt verify that.
I just need to make sure .. I know they are supposed to be exactly the same,
so is it indeed the same exact outer casing..?
Thanks,

The x51v has the same body as the x50v. invisibleshield screen protectors are very hard to apply. Some people have suggested turning on the shower to create humidity so that dust wont float in the air.

Then some people are idiots! High humidity and computers are not a good combination.

True, you're not likely to be in there long enough for problems to arise, but do you really want to take the chance?

Oh yeah; forgot to say that I have both models and they are identical. All changes were made internally.

I have installed many Invisible shields on a variety of devices ....

Take your time, you can't do a whole body shield in one sitting
Clean everything on your work surface, wash you hands several times, turn off all fans and do it when no one is around to minimize dust
Have all the things you need with you so you don't have to get up or move much

If you get them installed right, they are great. Not sure about a touch screen though, they do have a bit of tackyness to them. Not sure how a stylus would feel. I've done phones, iPods and camera LCD's.

The point is not to make a extremely high humidity room but just humid enough so dust won't float. I think a lot of people did it and I haven't heard anything about there devices not working.

The mane difference between the x51v and the x50v is that the x51v runs WM 5.0 and the x50v runs 2003SE. The ROM on the x51v is 256MB and the x50vs ROM is 128MB.

Turning on the shower WILL NOT create enough humidity to brick your Axim, unless you happen to put your Axim IN the shower, lol.

Now, back to the original post, Yes, they are exactly the same, save for the 0 changed to a 1.

As for differences - No backup battery, WM5, 256MB ROM, I think there may be one chip or two that aren't exactly the same, but generally, yes they are almost identical.

The tackiness goes away after while. I have had one on now for about 8 months ( i think but it has been quite some time) and the only scratch that I put in it was by rubbing too hard with a microfiber cloth. And it is just one little scratch that you cant even feel. Take your time and only put on just enough spray to get it on. you don't want to be trying to squeege our a ton of liquid. I have put them on two x50's now and loved them both. a nice little wipe with a damp towel cleans them nicley and the tackiness starts to go away after a few days to a week. I don't even notice it on there anymore.
