x51v compact flash GSM modem
Has anyone ever used a compact flash GSM modem accessory on an x51v? I see one on ebay but im not sure if its been done before.

I’ve seen these on eBay too. They are CDMA2000 not GSM.

There are gsm CF modems... I have an audiovox in a drawer somewhere. Wm5 drivers may be an issue.

They work fine for data, but for voice they are awful.

A bluetooth phone may be a better option

i have audiovox rtm-8000p CF GSM/GPRS card...works with beta drivers for wm2003 on wm05...but you need to have headset to use it..and i nver get the gprs to work..it's for sale if someone wants

I had that for awhile. Good for data but not voice. The extra bulk makes it too heavy and battery life is too short to make it practical. Stay away from it please.

How about the Tom Tom 6. It either comes on CF card or allows you to load your own. I have it and it works fine on my X51v and my Treo 700wx.
