Quick Question (screen Protectors)
sorry if this has been posted, but I didn't see it when I search...

How many of you got your free screen protectors that are supposed to come with your Dell Axim X51

hmm, I was gonna post a picture, but I can't find my users guide, sorry but anyways let me explain

If you would all (find and) open your user guide to the table that tells you what is included and optional with your Axim, and read carefully, on the second page, it spills onto, it states, (in mine and I'm sure a few others) the Screen Protectors are: Included

When I called dell and asked about it, I got the protectors...

I'm sure after that they fixed the line, because you are supposed to pay for them.... so anything newer than I think Christmas of 2005, might not have it...

anyways, sorry if that had been posted... I'll try to find my book for those of you who are suspicious... and nice forums, wish I knew about it a two years ago...

Mike

The "screen protecter" the manual refers to is the one that comes on the screen when you first get it.

Yea, you get one already on the Axim from Dell. It's hard to even see that it's there; many have been fooled.

Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal™ - Dell Axim X51v is my favorite. I first tried the anti-glare and didn't like it at all. It keeps glare down, but it makes the display much less sharp. The one I linked to has been on my screen since I got my Axim last November.

I make my own screen savers for all of my electronic devices. I found a plastic material 8mm thick, clear and flexible at a fabric store. I bought a 3' x 3' piece for less than a buck 6 years ago. It can be removed and washed and reapplied with no effort. Clings with static. I have made card board templates for all of my devices and just cut a new screen out when I need one. They last from 6 months (my pda) to over a year (my ipod). If my stylus seems to start to drag a bit to much I just apply some polish wax (outward face only of course) , remove excess with a cloth and its good to go again.
