Need help finding iGo tip B26
I have an Axim x50v and several iGO chargers but don't have the charging tip for the Axim x50/x51 series which is B26. iGo recently discontinued the B series tips but even before that the tip had been out of stock for months. I have tried ebay, froogle, google, Radio Shack (carries most of the B tips but never carried B26), and anything else I can think of. I was hoping someone might have a clue as to where I can still get one [or more] of these tips.

You are not alone in your search. I actually called igo support today. As you posted they no longer carry b tips.

iGo Solution to B26 tip?
I had a B26 tip and broke some of the pins.... When I went to get a replacement, I learned that they were discontinued.

After kicking a couple of ideas around, I came up with using the Dell charger adapter that is used to charge the unit without the docking station (Dell part number T6207) and getting iGo tip A54 for PSP/Zen Vision M's.

Luckily I still had my T6207 stuck in a drawer somewhere, but I found two sites that list them for sale.

Alan CompuTech International
Charger Adapter for Dell Axim X50/X50v Handhelds - Power Solution

The iGo tip can be found anywhere the tips are sold, such as Radio Shack.

All the specs seem to line up close enough. So far it seems to charge ok, but I haven't been using it long. Hope this helps.

B26 replacement didn't exactly work
So as some may have guessed, the solution with the PSP tip and the Dell adapter doesn't work all of the time.

Basically, if the battery is discharged past a certain point, this setup will not re-charge it......

However, I'm working on another solution for my Dell Latitude/iGo power supply and we'll how that works....

Have you found a solution yet?

I may just try the A54 tip anyway.

Nope no solution other than the idea of building my own module that I can plug into my iGo and then into my Dell adapter tip.

Thanks for the reply. I hate dragging my charger on vacation.
I did try a tip I have for my camera charger, it fit but didn't charge.
I wish I could try different tips out to see which one would work.

Thanks again.

Do iGo do the connection that would attach to a standard Dell charging tip? Would that work?

The tip needs the right voltage. I should just e mail Igo and see if they can help.

How do these chargers work then? Do the tips themselves have resistors etc in them?
