What kind of battery cover do you have? If you have the standard battery cover, I'll mail you mine for free. I'm using an extended battery now. PM me if you're interested.

Upon rereading your post, I just realized that maybe you're talking about the little rubber feet on the back and not the battery cover, right? If that's the case, I don't have replacement feet but can still send you the standard battery cover if that's what you need :).

You could probably use any small piece of rubber that you find, or if you have another electronic product that is broken/not in use you may find some on that.

Use some good epoxy made for plastic and rubber. That should hold them forever.

I used super glue, but it didn't hold very well. I lost one rubber foot. Then again you dont really want it to hold forever because the screws are under them.

i had the same thoughts. i never super glued because i didnt want to not be able to reach screws and sometimes superglue burns plastic and leaves white residue. i would like some rubber feet so it doesnt slide off my desk.

A good glue should retain enough of a bubble effect to recreate those feet. Don't use "Elmers" or any other white glue. Polyvinyl Resin Emulsion glues are not waterproof.

Wow! Exactly the same thing has happened to me only last night. I came here to post about it today! I noticed this black gooey mess on the inside of my slip case. One side was half off and the other was going to come off.

That black glue is nasty stuff.

Are the rubber feet/tabs available anywhere?

When I first bought my X50V, I had one of the feet come loose. I called Dell and they sent me all four feet at no cost.

Here's what I did -
1. get a piece of the velcro with the felt side
2. cut it to 2 5/8" x 1/4".
3. pull the adhesive cover off and carefully place it across both holes.
Be carefull not to block the stylus or lanyard slot.

What about getting a decent case for it. I have a Sena and still looks like the day I got it. I put Velcro on the back, of the case, and have a mount for my car with velcro and it sticks to perfectly.....just a thought...
