Avoid soft rest for Axim 51v to read 4 GB CF card
I can make the 4 GB CF card from Sandisk work only with a soft rest everytime. Is there a fix that can overcome this so I can avoid the extra step and the significant amount of time it consumes.

Funny thing is I never had this problem with my SD card but I recently got a CF card and noticed that it was dissappearing from time to time. I did this fix several weeks ago and it seems to have fixed the problem so hopefully it will work for you.

Doing a ROM upgrade to A12 will solve your issue. Not sure which ROM level your unit is at but the last release of an upgrade by Dell will put your unit at A12. There are upgrades beyond that point but they take your unit from WM5 to WM6 and are not supported by W$ or Dell. They are also produced by others than W$ and Dell which will void any warranty you have left with your unit. The WM6 upgrade does work with a X51V or X50V unit ONLY. It will brick any other unit.
