USB port?
Hi, is there any device that can plug into the axim that can create a USB port? For example, it is possible to plug a USB memory key into the axim.

Thanks,
Bob

wow thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for! Does anyone know if this device is confirmed to work with the X51v? Also, do USB memory keys just work as plug and play when using this device with the axim or do you need to install some drivers?

Why is this so expensive?? I thought 20-30$ for an adapter would be pretty reasonable but 139$ seems like a bit much.

thanks
Bob

It is not a question about connecting a USB cable, the problem is, that the Axim does not contain the electronics for being a USB host. That means that the PDA can not use external USB devices, even if you get them connected via a USB hub.
That is what the expensive RATOC does, it contains the electronics for a USB host and by that the means for connecting external USB devices. Beside that, you will need the drivers for the USB devices, so do not expect to get all kinds of USB devices to work with a PDA.

USB for the Axim is a great idea......but erlingt is right, it would have to be limited. Wonder how many people would try to plug their printer/scanner/whatever else into it.

Would be nice to plug a USB gamepad into it though
