I doubt anyone would ever want to.
A bunch of baloney. I don't care if it some "nano-super-powered" foil. Common sense tells me that foil gives extra resistance for the electricity to travel. It would probably worsen the battery life.

If it is physically and electrically isolated from the battery or battery circuits
I can't see anyway it can influence battery charge/disharge.
