Requesting Advice on BT headphone Problem X51v

Hello all,

I recently bought a pair of wiREVO bluetooth stereo headphones from fry's today. They were cheap, $30 on sale. They paired fine with my Nokia Cell, and worked well. So, I tried to pair them with my X51v. They paired well, but when I tried to listen to music or watch video via TCPMP or windows media player, the sound just started skipping.

I thought that maybe if I put the CPU usage all the way up it would help, but it didn't. When I listened to music on my Nokia Cell I didn't have this problem. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem with their BT headphones on the X51v. I searched the forums but didn't come up with anything.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Happy New Year to all:)

I ran into the same thing with my X50v (even with the Widcomm stack). sleuth255's patch on xda-developers fixed the skips for me. You can give it a try; it can be uninstalled via "Remove Programs".

Thanks Alantdc,

I gave the file a try and played with the registry, too. Unfortunately, I still got skipping. I wonder if this will be different if I get a different headset. I guess not though, since I'm using software to fix the problem. It's cool though.

But hey, I really appreciate the help!

Thanks :)

I had problems with the audio skipping after I paired my Sony Ericson BT headphones with my X51v. I closed my player (TCPMP), did a soft reset and tried listening again. It worked fine after that.

Thanks Cheryl :)

I gave that a try, too. It really suck that I can't get this thing to work. You know, I actually returned it today. I'm probably just gonna end up getting a music adapter for $24 from Jabra and use it with my Motorola H350. I don't wanna play with the registry anymore.

But hey, I really appreciate the help I'm getting at aximsite. This place is always great to come to for advice.

Happy New Year all!
