Garmin woes....
I purchased a very nice X51v second hand. It works great!. It came with a Garmin cf Que 1620 GPS unit which also seems to work fine. However the GPS is setup for the previous owner local which is about 2000 miles away. He sent me all the software an instructions but I'm having great difficultly loading it. I put in the first disc and load the Que software with no problems. The device sync's and again all is well. I than load the basemap and again it seems ok. But that's it. It than calls for me install Mapsource and to have my unlock key ready. It never gets that far. The installer starts and the screen turns blue with the word Mapsource at the top left and it just stays that way. Nothing ever changes, no asking for unlock key. The DVD drives shuts down and that's it.Could this be a load on one computer only type thing being as the last fellow did use the unlock key before me on his computer? As it is this thing is useless to me right now.I have the unlock key. What do you think? I even went to Garmin site and downloaded the most current Que software, to no avail.
