I am looking to buy a new battery and I am wondering if there are better brands than others. Also, where is the best place to buy new batteries? Is the 2200mhz battery that much better?

Mugen batteries generally have a good reputation. You can get them from cases.com or lionbattery.com. However, there are lots of reports of cheaper batteries off Ebay that have worked well. Of course, buyer beware on Ebay.

As for the 2200mah batteries, yes they do last longer, but keep on mind that they are larger and protrude from your device. You would need a case for an extended battery. A good compromise would be the 1800 battery; more capacity but only about 1mm thicker than the standard battery. I use one with the standard Sena case.
