Axim X50 down grading to Windows Mobile 6
I upgraded my Axim X50 to Windows Mobile 6 and my screen went blank then after that I do get an error message;
A memory error has been detected. Press [/\] to correct the error. If the system dose not boot, press [Power} + [Rest] to clear all data in the memory and reboot the system.
I want to go back to wm5 or even wm3 but do not know how to.

You may have "bricked" your device. There are no legal WM6 implementations for the Axim.

Still ... check with Dell to see if you can get the WM2003SE ROM. It should be easy to install if your device will still connect to your machine.

If you have a card reader you can take a SD card formated to FAT32 and download from your desktop to your card the WM2003SE ROM and then put the card into your Ax. Then do the 3 button process to try to restore the unit. I don't know if that will work, but it's worth a try.

Do a google search for xda-developers. They have some help for those X50 owners that have bricked their unit trying to upgrade their ROM to WM6.
