How to get a mic/line input?
Has anyone used or seen another version of this card:

Maycom N>Trans

It is an advanced audio line / mic in thru a CF-card adapter.
They want like $450.00 !!!!
Too much for me... but Iwould like the sound quality ...
Is there any other options???
What if I use a Compactflash USB host adapter & then use one of these:

PC use USB Virtual 5.1 Channel Audio Sound Card Adapter - eBay (item 330206362855 end time Jan-29-08 02:46:20 PST)

Would an X51v be capable of utilizing this setup for use with a PDA multitrack prog like Meteor? (Best PDA games, Pocket PC games, Windows Mobile games, SmartPhone games by 4Pockets.com ...................................games for Pocket PC's, smartphone, pocket pc, pocketpc, pocket, pc, ipaq, axim, dell, hp, games, wm5, wm6, free pda games, hand)

Thanks for help ....
btw- I have just learned about the headphone jack having a mic input connection and am also interested in finding a connector to let me plug in a mic or other mono input while still using the headphones as well...

any feedback?

PM'r out

spunker88 posted a link to the adapter you are looking for in your other thread. Here's an alternative to the CF card you found:

Core Sound — PDAudio®

The CF USB host adapters tend to be quite pricey, and from what I have read, have pretty slow speeds. I'm not sure if that would make a difference for your purposes, but it's something to consider.

Yes - I've seen this one too....
It looks pretty good also ... has anyone here ever used one on an axim??

$200 is still a bit pricey, but still half what the other company wanted ...

are there any other options ?? SDIO cards? combined with another peice of hardware ????
Anyone?
Anyone?

Please - any more feedback would be appreciated..

Can anyone tell me more about the USB connection that is used for syncing & recharging ?
Can a usb device be plugged into the Axim at the bottom connector where it would plug into the cradle connector?
I mean can some kind of adapter be made to plug in USB devices or sound in/out at that bottom connector of the PDA? Like an Ipod does?
What are the pinouts at that connector & can they be utilized any way other than for activesync & charging?
