Jukov,
I am able to connect three devices at one time. Phone, keyboard, and my bluetooth head set for my phone. I use the headset sometimes for listening to music.
I only have these three devices to try. Who knows what the limit is.

That's great, then. I was planning on getting a tablet next year, and I didn't really want the added weight of the convertible types. I want a slate, but I need to be able to type on it, too. This is the perfect combo for my X50v and the tablet.

$125 for a keyboard is nuts. Why not get a Targus Universal IRDA keyboard? These work with Palms, Pocket PC's, Zaurus Linux PDA's, even the latest WM2003 SE VGA devices. Support portrait & Landscape, and include a mouse navigation D-pad with screen pointer. I got a flawless used version on Amazon.com for $35.

The Targus isn't nearly as pretty.

Also, you have to get it aligned correctly with the IrDA port which is a pain on some PDAs, especially if you're wanting to use it in landscape mode. The Bluetooth keyboard can be anywhere within range of the PDA without requiring a cable or alignment with IrDA port.

Battery life?

Okay, let me ask a couple questions about BT keyboards. Does anybody have any idea about battery life in these things? Also, does Think Outside make Dell's BT keyboard? I'm thinking about getting that one since I can get it for about $100.

Thanks

It's 8 (including the axim, so 7 devices connected to an axim)... not that I have 7 devices to test... or am even in possession of my axim yet (november 10th or so I'm told), but the bluetooth specification allows for 8 device connections.

Drats! Thanks Sam, I was hoping that maybe someone had sneeked a pair of BT stereo headphones into production! Not yet I guess...

Where did you see the Thinkoutside BT keyboard for $100? It is going for $149 on their website.

I got mine here:
http://www.thenerds.net/productpage.asp?un=213519&s=1

It was $93 + $10 s/h = $103 and some change.

They do have stereo BT headphones now...at least in Australia...

I'm just wondering though...couldn't you download the driver off the Thinkoutside website - the one they use with the iPAQs...coz they use the same driver for all their PocketPC (including mobile edition)...

Is the Dell driver actually different...

I ordered the Thinkoutside BT keyboard yesterday and it arrived today....only to find that it was broken! The keyboard had actually been bent, thus preventing it from shutting. Not a happy bunny....

Have sent it back to them so they can send me a replacement. On the plus side, it's a great-looking piece of kit and wonderfully small comapared to the Targus IR keyboard I have (and want to throw away!).

Just have to wait for a bit.....
