I'm going to argue that the extended battery is NOT larger. Take a look at the X50 and notice that unlike the X5 the battery is stored under a door. If the extended battery were larger than the regular one that door wouldn't be able to close.
You can count me in for one Mef. I am a huge fan of both Mugen and www.lionbattery.com. Mef is one of the better sellers I have encountered.

But other PDAs with a door have had larger extended batteries....
Basically, you would just discard the door and the extended battery "snaps" on the back in some way.
I don't know if this is how the x50's will be, just stating that it has been done on PDAs before.

One of the reviews I read (I don't remember where) indicated that the extended battery comes with a new door to accomodate the extra thickness of the battery.

I too am expecting that the new battery will have a spare door. But, let's let the genius' at Mugen figure it out. As soon as I have a confirmation about it, I'll spread the WORD. (So to speak.)
Has any one heard word about the Extemded Batteries from Lion Battery yet??
Also can some one post pictures of the X50 with the extended battery installed.
Also can any one say for sure, if the battery makes the PDA a hump back, will it fit into the Rhinoskin hard case?
The last that I've heard from Mugen Power is that the batteries will be ready for mid-December. They want them released before Christmas for those who are looking for a special present. But I still do not have a firm date. Yet.
I was wondering if anyone has any more recent info on this extended Mugen battery? Thanks in advance.
Like I posted in the X50 forum and in the Lion Battery forum, we've been waiting patiently for Mugen Power to supply us our allotment of the X50 batteries and we have been advised that we sould be getting them within the next couple of weeks. We are anxious like everyone and as soon as they are available we will let everyone know about it.
However, in the meantime, we have also placed our orders for Dell branded OEM batteries for the X50 and the X30. They are now on our web store and will be available in about a week.
If you are unable to wait for Mugen Power's version and/or prefer to buy OEM batteries, we will now be able to offer this to you. Please visit our web site and take a look at the new products.

Yeah, thanks a bunch. I need to wait for the Mugen one because (supposedly) they will offer a higher capacity (then 110mah) battery that will not protrude from the back of the x50. The Dell extended batteries stick out too far and will not fit in my Rhinoskin case :( .
i would really be interested if i knew the mogen batteries didn't "pooch" out the rear. i have a rhino skin too, so having a long life battery that will fit is MANDATORY.
Other than the OEM, are there any batteries that fit i the x50 without sticking out the back? It looks like Mogen has only made an extended (ie bigger) battery.
I'd rather have many standard-size batteries than one extended, but Dell is too expensive!!!

We have the Dell official (orignal OEM) batteries now on our web site and they are really competitive with our Mugen Power batteries. Are you still sure that Dell is too expensive now??? :approve:
I want to order a 2200 mAh extended battery for my X50v in the next day or two. What's the difference between the Dell and Mugen batteries on the Lion site? Does one last longer or have another superior quality? I notice that they are the same price. Thanks!
