Given the awful quality of all the PDA cams I've seen, I'd say you'd be better off if you get a little Canon Powershot (ELPH) for the best combination of portability and image quality.

I've yet to see a CF cam worth paying for.

Agreed. I consider the 1.3mp camera integrated into a ppc a waste of space. I will say however that some product vendors that work for me will like it because they are required to take pictures of their work and email them (currently using cf cameras and Axim X5's).

Here's a good link about the camera.

Couple more.

Remember this is not a Canon S500 or a Sony DSC-whatever. Its a 1.3 maegapixel SD card slot camera with a MANUAL Focus. But for what it is, its really a good camera.

Has anyone tried the latest Pretec Smartcam? It doesn't appear to be available yet from Amazon or Mobile Planet, but it can be purchased now from Pretec's site.

It appears to have a tiny LED flash. And really small too (SD). Can't wait to read a review!

(edit note): WOW! OK, I think it's finally time to get a PDA camera. Have a look at the PDF users guide found on the Pretec site. Lots of settings, even an LED flashlight. Cool!

Mac Daddy of all PC Cameras. At this point It does not support WMSE but they said in a couple of days the driver updates will be out. I am also not for sure about the CF I. I think the X50v supports CF II. Plus there is no case for it yet.
