Car mount...

Just wondering if there was one for an X50v, i'm thinking about putting one in my car so I can hook it up and use it as a GPS and mp3 player

here's the email I just got back from Seidio.

Hi,

We are working on this . It will take about 45 days. You can just purchase the cradle.

Subject: G2500 GPS mount

Hello,

Are you going to be producing a G2500 GPS mount for the new Dell X50v? I have one already for my X5 and love it to death! Also, if you are making one, will I have to buy a whole new package or is it possible to swap out the “cradle” part of the G2500 with a new one and keep the same suction mount and wires? Thanks.

Check out Arkon. They have some Universal PDA Mounts. I have one of the powered mounts for my Asus and love it. My father also has one for his Axim X30.

2500 mount for x50v update

I too emailed Seido about a verion of the 2500 for the x50v. Here is the reply I received (yesterday). The question of the day is "What do I do in the meantime?"

HI,

It will be released around 12/19.

Thank you for your interests

Sirs:

Are you planning on making a version of the G2500 to mate with the Dell Axim x50v? If so, when will it be released?

I have an Akron universal mount for my X5 that I will use with my X50v. I have both the vent mount and the windshield mount and have been very happy. The vent bracket also works well with my XM radio.

I just purchased the windshield car mount from gomadic.com. It has good quality with lifetime warranty for $19.99 and works well with X50
bailed X50v WM5 and moved to X51v. Now sold X51v and got Sprint PPC 6700.

The problem with the Universal mount is that it isn't powered, which is what I need. At least, I think it isn't.

I'm also waiting for the car cigarett charger from Gomadic that is detached from the car mount but you can use it to charge in home too with an AC adapter.
