My C2 fits perfectly too. It was very hard to get it lint free. Installed it in the bathroom and now its perfect.

WriteShield is the easier protector to get the bubbles out. As a matter of fact, as long as you apply it correctly, there would hardly be any bubble.

Unless PPCTechs sent the wrong WriteShield, I don't understand how it could be "unfit".

I've never used screen protectors and really haven't had a problem. Anyone out there also avoid this costly accessory?

Yes, screen protectors can be very expensive considering most are just thin pieces of plastic about 2 inches by 3 inches, but if you get the right one, they are worth every penny.

I have the crappy, standard, Dell-issued screen protectors. (What ever you do, DON'T BUY THE DELL ONES!!) They are murky, ill-fitting, easily scratched and hard to get bubbles out. The middle of my screen, the whole length of the screen, has these "grey bubbles" that can't be smoothed out. I've applied and reapplied using tape, a can of compressed air and lint-free eye glass cloth, you name it. I've washed my screen and the screen protectors. There's no dust to be seen on the screen or the screen protector to speak of. It's just that Dell has really crappy screen protectors.

One of the best investments you can make is a QUALITY screen protector. Boxwave, WriteShield and Brando make very good ones. I would suggest you purchase JUST ONE and see how you like it. I'm about to cave in and buy a Boxwave for my new X30 High that's on it's way because I absolutely can't take these Dell SP's anymore!

I have about 8 or 9 left out of a 12 pack so it's a waste of money, but at least with a Boxwave, I'll be able to see the screen clearly! :)

i have used my pda without a screen protector for 3 years and the only time it was scratched is the one short time i did use a protector and there was a bit of dust under the protector. there were tonnes on scratches on the protector but i have never had a scratch without it. i will go without a protector.

another method to remove the protector with out using a pick is to fold over some sticky packing tape in a loop and apply to one corner of the protector on the screen pull up and it should come off easy (no need to risk scratching screen removing protector. dont use scotch tape .. not sticky enough.

Also keep in mind that small air bubbles under the screen protector (assuming they are not caused by a speck of dust) tend to work themselves out over a week or so. I don't know if the protectors are air permeable, but if you have a bubble or two, just leave it for a week and see what happens.

I figured out why you get 2 screen protectors from WriteShield. You waste the first one trying to get it on! That way the second one goes one without any problems. I had dust specks under my first one but the second one fits great. I'm so glad I have it on too - I already have 2 small scratches on it instead of my x50v. I would have been really upset if they had been on my screen.

Long live screen protectors!
