Easiness of using same Bluetooth headset to switch from X50v (MP3) AND cellphone
1) I want to know how difficult it is to switch from listening with a bluetooth headset to a MP3 file playing on a Dell X50v, AND being able to answer easily to an incoming cellphone call from that same bluetooth headset! First of all, is it possible at all?

2) Can I resume back to my MP3 files easily where I left before?

Easily, I mean: just pressing a button? Or I must go first on the PDA and disable manually the bluetooth connection with the headset, and then do something else ...

I'm in the process of buying a bluetooth headset for my upcoming Dell X50v, and will have to renew my cellphone before year-end. I want to buy the APPROPRIATE bluetooth headset and bluetooth cellphone that will allow me to listen to MP3 files while being able to answer easily to an incoming cellphone call from that same bluetooth headset!

Thank you to share your experience with me. -- Jean.

Out of curiosity, do people consider you as an obsessive person and too inclusive?

I haven't found a stereo bluetooth headset yet. If anyone knows of one then please post. Also I dont know if the X50 has a stereo bluetooth profile (A2DP?) so unless you want to listen to music in one ear only, you may be out of luck although I'd be very happy to be wrong on this.

I don't need stereo ... just want to listen in one ear MP3 files (my Bible in French or in English) from my upcoming Dell X50v PDA, but want also the flexibility of using the same headset to switch to an incoming cellphone call.

I can tell you the Belkin F8V9017 headset can't perform this function. I don't know if any can or not, but this one can't. It only allows for pairing with one device. So I can either have it set up to listen to with my X50v, or for use with my phone. I have to re-bond every time I want to use it with a different device. It is a year or so old though, so maybe that is why.

http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420EX.htm

I've heard of someone using this WITHOUT the included dongle to listen to mp3s on an Ipaq hx4700. I'm sure that the same can be accomplished on the x50.

ALSO, you can take calls and listen to music at the SAME TIME on this if you use the included (huge and stupid) dongle.
