ThinkOutside BT Keyboard

Ok - I need some help from those of you who have had some problems with your BT keyboard and the axim X50v. I keep getting an error in the setup of the keyboard that says bluetooth system not detected. Please let me know what I need to do - I have set up the settings to look at all devices etc with no luck - I am using the newest version from thinkoutside.

Tricky.

1. Make sure you downloaded the BT driver NOT the IR x50v driver (I almost did this).
2. Make sure the light is flashing on your TO BT k/b when you "search" for it. Don't try and do it securely first, just normally.
3. If this doesn't work, you could try leaving the BT on on your x50v, and then taking the battery out with it still on.
4. Then try everything again. If it still doesn't work, you may have faulty BT on the k/b or the x50v. My k/b and x50v work flawlessly, so there's no problem with the driver itself.

Well, I may be all wet on this reply, but I'm looking to pick up a Think Outside BT keyboard myself and the first place I checked was Dell's website where they sell the Executive BT keyboard which I understand is the Think Outside BT keyboard with Dell's logo on it. Unless my memory is totally shot I thought I saw a caveat saying it was not compatible with the X50?

Anyhoo, I found a place that's selling the BT Stowaway for $89 and free shipping and was just checking here before I gave my credit card info.

My ThinkOutside BT Keyboard quit connecting in secure mode after I downloaded and installed the latest firmware upgrade (1.2) and bluetooth driver (4.1).

That's progress?

Had the same problem. Had installed Keyboard driver in Built-In-Storage. Needs to be installed in Default location - ie RAM. Works fine then, but won't work from built-in storage

I found the same - The keyboard driver needs to be installed in RAM to work correctly.

Obvious I bought mine at amazon.com
